Colorado excavation

Black Mountain Excavation is a heavy civil contractor serving Colorado and the surrounding region since 2020. We specialize in commercial earthwork and site development for data centers, utility-scale solar, wind farms, landfill gas-to-energy systems, industrial sites, and large commercial infrastructure.

As a single-source site development contractor, we run every phase under one team: clearing and grading, underground utilities, roads, drainage, and final site preparation. Owners, developers, engineers, and general contractors get one schedule, one point of contact, and less risk.

Built on integrity. Driven by performance. Trusted to deliver.

Earthwork

Turning terrain into opportunity

  1. 01

    Cut

Take the high ground down. Every pass is planned to spec, for site stability and proper drainage.

  2. 02

    Load

High-capacity equipment moves heavy material fast, cutting downtime and keeping production up.

  3. 03

    Place

Fill the low ground and compact it to grade. GPS guidance means accurate cuts and less waste.

Underground utilities

Underground utilities

Strength below the surface. Reliability above it.

What you don't see matters as much as what you do. Underground utilities quietly power homes, deliver water, carry waste away, and keep people connected.

Every job starts with site surveying and utility mapping to find existing systems and conflicts. Then trenching or boring, installation to the engineered plans, backfill and compaction, and pressure testing, alignment checks, and final inspection.
